MAKING ADIRA

In January 2013, Bradley and Irene embarked on an inspirational journey to create the film Adira, a true labor of love. Their dream was to unite filmmakers from the Kansas City independent film community, and that dream became a reality.

Most of the movie was filmed in a summer kitchen on Bradley's mom's farm in Harrisonville, Missouri, while the wilderness scenes found their backdrop on his uncle's farm. These picturesque rolling hills closely resembled the German landscape they envisioned.

Animals that played a vital role in the film were generously provided by Bradley's uncle and aunt, who allowed their farm to serve as an essential location. The Westport Museum in Kansas City warmly welcomed the crew and with boundless enthusiasm. Several of the scenes were filmed there.

Adira embarked on a successful festival journey, including sold-out screenings in Kansas City and Orlando. The film has now found its home on Tubi and Amazon Prime, captivating audiences across the globe, with an upcoming availability on VUDU for an even broader audience.

Adira is a testament to the collaborative dedication of a talented crew and cast. It's a beautiful representation of love, hard work, and resilience, embodying the true spirit of indie filmmaking.

Adira isn't just a film; it's a love child nurtured by the boundless passion of Bradley and Irene. This project has opened doors to new opportunities, and they eagerly anticipate more cinematic adventures in the future.
